A businessman from Booneville has pleaded guilty to his part in scamming millions of dollars from Medicare and other health care programs.

Last month, Federal prosecutors accused Keaton Langston of being involved in Medicare fraud in New Jersey along with an alleged leader of a mob family.

This week, Langston accepted a deal where he would plead guilty to conspiring to commit health care fraud that illegally netted more than $51 million.

The feds say he got more than $10 million in the scheme where a clinical lab, pharmacies and medical equipment supply companies submitted bogus claims to federal and private health care programs.

Langston now awaits sentencing that could include time in prison.
